Lantang Kyanjing Gompa TrekkingLantang is one of the least trekked, yet one of the most beautiful trekking areas. Located north of the Kathmandu valley, the route goes through traditional and ethnic village and untouched forest on the way to the peak of Lantang-Lirung. This trek revels the contrast between the Hindu culture of Kathmandu and the Buddhist culture to the immediate north of Kathmandu. The highlight of this tour include the visit to Lantang Valley, Kyangin Gompa (Monastery) and the Lirung glasier.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Drive to Dhunche by public bus.
Day 02: Dhunche (2030mtrs) trek to Syabru gaon(2210mtrs)
Day 03: Syabru gaon to Lama Hotel (2340).
Day 04: Lama Hotel to Langtang(3330mtrs).
Day 05: Langtang to Kyanjing gompa (3730mtrs) for 2 to 3 hrs and after lunch hike to Lantang Glacier or hike to Kyanjing ri.
Day 06: Kyanjing trek down to Lama Hotel.
Day 07: Lama Hotel to Syabru besi.
Day 08: Syabru Besi drive back to Kathmandu by public bus.
