Mount Kailash Via Lhasa
An hours flight from Kathmandu, flying over the mighty backbone of the Himalayas, we land in the heart of the Tibetan Plateau before a two hour drive by land cruiser to Lhasa. A few days are spent in Lhasa soaking up the atmosphere and visiting the many sights of historical interest before commencing our overland trip to Sangsang via Gyantse, Shigatse and Sakya. From Sangsang we have a choice of either the Northern or Southern highway to Mt. Kailash returning on the other route. This pilgrimage takes 19 to 26 days. Depending on group requirements.
Itinerary
Day 01: Drive Airport and fly to Lhasa (3650 m.), transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Lhasa: Sightseeing. Overnight hotel.
Day 03: Lhasa: Sightseeing. Overnight hotel.
Day 04: Lhasa / Gyantse (3950 m.). Overnight camp.
Day 05: Gyantse / Shigatse (3900 m.) camp.
Day 06: Shigatse / Sakya / Lhatse (3900 m.) camp.

Day 09: Paryang / Chiu Gomba (4550 m.) camp.

Day 11: Gosul Gomba / Darchen (4520 m.)
Day 12: Darchen / Dera Phuk Gomba (4860 m. ) - a three day trek round Mt. Kilash.
Day 13: Dera Phuk Gomba / Zutul Phuk Gomba (4760 m. ) camp
Day 14: Zutul Phuk / Horaa (4500 m.) camp
Day 15: Horaa / Paryang camp.
Day 16: Paryang / Saga camp.
Day 17: Saga / Nyalam camp.
Day 18: Nyalam / Zhang-Mu / Kathmandu.
